The Animal Mirror Journey
A life transformed through hardship,
migration, loss, intuition and art.
The Tiger has always fascinated me;
I didn’t know it was my mirror.
It gave me strength through every hardship.
At seven years old,
I dreamed of a yellow snake
at the threshold of my home in Colombia.
Poverty taught me to move like the Turtle.
Migration demanded the cunning of the Fox.
In Mexico,
I discovered the Snake was my teacher.
In Canada,
a small four-legged master stayed by my side
for nearly fourteen years.
His departure cracked my heart open,
and I learned to draw my own path.
Alma Animal Art is my personal heaven.
Animal Mirror Collection
is my way of sharing it.
The Day my Shih Tzu Broke my Heart and Set my Hands Free
How Niño's loss led me to become an artist and draw my own path
The Journey Continues
The letter is where my heart opened. The stories below are how the journey unfolded.
My Mother Said My Brother Was Smarter
As a child, I learned that believing in myself mattered more than being recognized by others. This personal story reflects on self-worth, resilience, and the quiet confidence that shaped my life.
The Yellow Snake
A yellow snake appeared in my childhood dreams and stayed with me for years. Only much later did I discover that what I feared most had become one of the first guides on my journey.
Five Minutes With My Father
I only spent five minutes with my father, but his absence shaped much of my childhood. This is the story of forgiveness, resilience, and finding peace without ever receiving answers.
Starting from Zero Twice.
The doors never opened for me in Colombia or Canada, so I learned to build my own. A personal reflection on rejection, resilience, immigration, and starting over—twice.
